The competition!....

buoyancy and our Boat competition

First off...let's introduce the concept. The students were instructed to make a boat out of anything. No bigger than 4 x 6 in.

Here is a picture of the boats and the students preparing the pennies for the competition to see which boat coudl hold the most.

An Oxymoron?!....Not in Mrs. Slade's class!!!!...

Here are my fun 8th graders during our final hours. Instead of a written test each group had to develop a review game for a unit we had studied during the year.

Fun huh? And yet it was their final. Not all of my classes were so lucky, but I didn't take pictures of them because they would be boring!
